LaTonya has spent much of the last decade focused on raising awareness about much-needed probation and parole reforms because in 2001, her son went to prison. This is her story.

In 2013, Phil’s life was turned upside down when his father was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Nearly half of all adults living the United States have experienced incarceration in their family. Phil Webb is one them, and this is his story.

Alejandra Juarez is a mother of two, wife of a veteran, and a beloved member of her church community in Florida. She is set to be deported on August 3rd.

Alejandra came to the U.S. as a teenager and built a life. She married a Marine and raised a family. They have two daughters, Pamela, 16, and Estela, 8, who are both U.S. citizens. And unless Alejandra’s request for a stay of removal is granted by ICE, she will be separated from them in two weeks time and sent to a country she has not known for 20 years. Alejandra has tried to adjust her status in the US, and because of the broken immigration system there isn’t a pathway to citizenship for her unless Congress acts.

The U.S. should build on the success of the redesignation of #TPS for Venezuela and continue to use TPS to help safeguard people in need of protection.
